- This study of dog ecology (and behaviour) and of human ecology (and behaviour) discusses the facets of the phenomenon of the urban free-roaming dog. It provides information for students who wish to embark on studies of wild canines. This book was first published in 1973. It is rather brief, but very informative. I can't believe a more recent study has not been undertaken. I think one should be. I would like alot more detail about the lives these poor dogs lead. I read every book associated with Alan Beck, Arnold Arluke, Clinton Sanders, Lockwood, Ascione, and Arkow. The work they do about animals and people is so important! Seek out these authors for more about animals and people.
